Makita’s new angle grinder GA005G is powered by state-of-the-art XGT® technology. Thanks to it the grinder delivers the same amount of power as 1000 W corded grinders. It is also highly durable and safe.

Next generation power

GA005G has a brushless motor and its power source is the new XGT® battery. This means that it can deliver the same amount of power as 1000 W corded grinders. The grinder’s speed of cutting groove is up 40% compared to its predecessor and it can reach a No Load Speed of 8500 min⁻¹. It is an ideal choice for cutting concrete with a diamond disc.

Durable and safe

The angle grinder is highly durable, as there is a large ball bearing that supports its motor. The new toolless wheel cover allows for fast angle adjustment. Active Feedback sensing Technology (AFT) shuts down the tool if the rotation speed suddenly slows down. The machine also has a slide switch lock-on to make working more convenient.

Great work amount and fast charging

With the GA005G, you can get a lot of work done on a single full battery charge. The work amount is 7 m when cutting 20 mm deep while using a 4,0 Ah battery. The new XGT® batteries are also fast charging as they take as little as 28 minutes to charge.
